Before I left for this trip, my mom laminated a poem from Walt Whitman and gave it to me to take with me. Making it over The Ophir Pass today has me thinking about one of the lines in that poem. “I am Larger and better than I thought.” I keep that poem in the front pouch of the bike.

Giving it my best Valentino Rossi pinging around these roads back in Romania. Honestly there were so many wide bends and the place was virtually empty so it actually felt like a race track. Learnt a few tips about cornering from @cristitamas7 too - so much fun.
Why do we travel? . Travelling is a part of our multifaceted life. We explore something new during every trip; overcome new difficulties and problems. In such a manner, we get out of our comfort zone. It’s common knowledge that traveling teaches you something new. First and foremost, you are studying geography of the area, and then you know about the culture, traditions and people. In such a way, you develop your intelligence. All these factors inspire your curiosity, and you want to start traveling. Also, you will learn to be independent. Traveling is self-knowledge and the disclosure of your abilities and capabilities. But first of all, traveling is the memories that will warm your soul. We are the creators of moments in our life, both pleasant and painful. Bear in mind that you live here and now, so enjoy yourself and travel! Ride Concluded, Mission Accomplished

The Continental divide trail ride. Day 10 / 1444 miles traveled. Yesterday, was very eventful. I started day late. Since I did lots of laundry I had to repack everything. Left around noon. I rode about 35 miles in the very hot desert and suddenly small hailstorm appeared from nowhere in the desert. On mile 45 scenery changed to the beautiful birch trees and mountains. Unfortunately, I crashed on a gravel turn. Result swollen knee and cut hand. I really need to invest in better gear. Next trip I need to get @revit_adventure. Even though I'm limping and I wouldn't be able to enjoy Colorado as much as I wanted too. I will continue on as much as I can.
One of the great joys in motorcycle travel lies in the unknown. Where are we going, where will we sleep, what will we eat. These are all questions that require no specific answer. We like to figure it out as we go, and be open to the outcomes no matter how wonderful or absurd. Late at night after a heavy eastern rain, we were leaning towards the absurd. It was pitch black, and we were driving deep into the woods of the Gaspé Peninsula, in search of a wilderness camp. Needless to say we found what we were looking for, but the true beauty of where we wound up wasn’t evident until the sun came up. - #adventurehaks#quebec
